The baby elephant is named Samudra. At first he was out of sight and we thought one of the smaller adults was the baby. I was astonished at how fast he grew. The people around us must have thought we were so dumb.
This is the first time most of us saw a hippo out of the water. I guess they were enjoying the sun like we were. These were one of Ethan's favorite things, thanks to Madagascar. Glooorrriaaa!!
